Maria is a member of the ensemble at the Komische Oper Berlin since the 2016/2017 season and her roles for the 19/20 season include Olga in Tchaikovsky’s Onegin, Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto, both directed by Barrie Kosky, Flora in a new production of Verdi’s La Traviata, directed by Nicola Raab among other roles.
Other recent highlights include Brigitta in Korngold´s Die Tote Stadt, directed by Robert Carsen as well as Paquette in Bernstein´s Candide, directed by Barrie Kosky, both role debuts at the Komische Oper Berlin. She has also been seen as Magdalene in Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Ottone in Moteverdi’s Die Krönung der Poppea, Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen, Orest in Offenbach’s Die Schöne Helena, Prinzessin Clarice in Prokofiev’s “Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen” Chava in Bock’s Anatevka and die Zweite Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte on tour in Australia and New-Zealand, among other roles.
